Back-to-School Supplies for Connor Kids’ Backpacks
SPC’s Community Outreach Ministry Team has identified
25-30 students at Connor Elementary School whose families won’t
be able to provide them with backpacks and needed school supplies this fall. In addition to the pocket change offering we’re receiving
each Sunday to purchase the backpacks, the following is a list of school supplies church members might purchase now during
the b-t-s sales and bring in to fill the backpacks. The school also needs extra
supplies to help students who are unable to afford to completely fill their required supply list.
Donated supplies can be left
in the wicker hamper at the rear of the sanctuary.
Key items needed in large quantity:
* Glue sticks – at least 275 needed
* Composition notebooks (100 pg black/white marblized-design cover) –
at least 100 notebooks needed
Please NO spiral notebooks!
* 2-pocket folders (not Trapper Keepers)-at least 75 in variety of colors
* No. 2 Ticonderoga 12 pack pencils – at least 35 packs
Other essential supplies:
* Elmer’s glue (4 oz) – at least 15
* Rulers (w/inches & centimeters) – at least 10
* Color pencils – at least 20 packs
* Pencil sharpeners – at least 5
* Boxes of pencil eraser toppers – at least 15 boxes
* Regular pencil erasers – at least 20
* Pens (not black) - at least 10
* Crayons (Crayola boxes of 24) – at least 20 boxes
* Broad line color markers (boxes of 12) – at least 5 boxes
* Highlighters - at least 24 in variety of colors
* Fiskar-type pointed metal scissors - at least 20
* Small, soft zippered pencil cases w/3 holes (not boxes) – at least
25
* 2-pocket folders w/design or picture cover - at least 5
* 2-pocket folders w/3 hole center strip - at least 20 in variety of colors
